(Encaustic) Easter Story

During a beautiful meditation that I followed online about the Easter story, I started painting.

By attuning to what is there and converting that emotion into creation, not only can something beautiful be created, but healing can also take place.

The meditation was about the Easter story seen from a spiritual narrative. What can we learn from this? How can it be applied to our daily lives in who we are now?

The agony, the crucifixion, betrayal, guilt and insincerity. The faithful followers who left Jesus and despite that he does not give up, dying, going through the depths and eventually the new life.

The story also symbolizes what we go through in our lives.
Deep feelings of condemnation and not being seen and also guilt.

It is a path of life that we walk and where we lose ourselves at times, we bear pain and we connect with the dark (our suffering). If we dare to sacrifice our ego, let go of the ego, then there is also the surrender to open our hearts. The rebirth of ourselves.

I hope the video inspires to paint more and more from 'connection'.
