12 Years of Component - Alessandra Sierra

The Component library is a modest 200 lines of Clojure code, but since its first release in 2013 it has had an outsized influence, spawning dozens of extensions, variations, and ports to other languages. This talk will trace the history of this pattern, from its predecessors and influences, to its evolution within the community, and finally some thoughts about how it succeeded (or not) at its goals.
