Road Structure

In this video it is explained about road structure . In road structures normally two types of roads are build. First type is flexible pavement and the other type is rigid pavement. Flexible and Rigid pavement has similar roads layers.In rigid pavement we use concrete as surfacing layer whereas in flexible pavement we use bitumen as a surfacing. Rigid pavement is normally used where water crosses the road.
The other thing which we do not use rigid pavement everywhere is because cars and other traffic make noise while driving on rigid road. Flexible pavement absorb the traffic noise.
