This week we figure out how to make a see-through hatch for our water tanks; strong enough to withstand 3 tonnes of water per tank while at sea. It makes keeping our water supply clean very easy, a quick look into the white-painted tank and we will know if it needs a clean.
Dame uses the old mild steel hatch cover as a bolting ring (big washer) and nitrile rubber as a gasket so steel doesn't touch acrylic or tank steel.
Ship cat Moran keeps a watch on events. It's been a busy week finishing off the four front tanks (2 x water and 2 x diesel or vegetable oil).
Hope you enjoy
Jess, Dame & Moran
