WATCH: Ratcliffe asks Mueller whether Steele dossier was part of Russian election meddling
During a July 24 House Intelligence committee hearing, Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, asked former special counsel Robert Mueller if his team made any determination about whether the so-called Steele dossier was part of the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 election. Mueller, who led an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible ties to President Donald Trump’s campaign, referred the question to the Department of Justice, saying it was handling some of the issues to which Ratcliffe was referring.
