Premier Andrews' cancellation of Australia Day parade a 'disgraceful farce'
Former Victorian Liberal Party President Michael Kroger says Premier Daniel Andrews’ cancellation of an Australia Day parade through Melbourne is a “disgraceful farce”.
“This is the socialist left of the Labor Party opposing Australia Day and using the cover of COVID to denigrate, downplay, delegitimise Australia Day, and it probably won’t come back,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.
Mr Kroger said the left oppose most of the days integral to Australian spirit such as Australia Day, ANZAC Day, and even the Queen’s Birthday.
“These people try as best they can to run everything down and delegitimise it.”
