Using a Resistance Solder Unit on etched loco kits

Simply another tool to compliment my other irons.
using solder paste they are EXCELLENT for soldering overlays .
The unit uses a very low voltage but high current to heat the carbon rod tip
The good thing is you can locate the part and hold it with the probe whilst cold and then hit the foot switch and the solder flows.
release the switch, the iron cools and remove
the part is soldered and hasn't moved.
makes things easy
