Before and after x-rays, after jaw surgery are compared here. Here the patient is presented with chief complaint of difficulty sleeping and breathing when laying down flat. Notice the small jaw and no chin neck distance also a narrow posterior airway. After surgery the things that I’d like to show you on the x-ray are widened airway and also this airway opening up which you hardly can see this is behind the tongue also you can see that the higher bone travelled upward important because many muscles again that are attached to the tongue and the jaw are attached to this bone therefore it makes the breathing and swallowing easier.

Overall the profile looks better and more feminine, you have a better labial mental fold and a nicer chin and better lips compared to before the surgery, the lips are relaxed and closed when the mouth is closed.
