Use this Simple Technique for Better Photos

Separation is a very important aspect of your photography compositions. It CAN'T be added in post-processing, so it's crucial that you get it right in the field.

Seriously, this is a technique that can be used to take better snapshots with your smartphone or gallery-quality images with your DSLR or Mirrorless camera.

Next time you're out shooting, put yourself (the photographer) in the best position possible to have ample separation between the subject and the background. Overlapping objects that are too similar in color and/or luminosity values result in images that lack visual interest.
