Five days in Pereira, Colombia🇨🇴 NYE 2022, great food, and horseback riding

Howdy, here is a video from a visit to Pereria, Colombia over the 2022 New Year holiday. This was my 6th trip to Colombia (if counting correctly) and the second time in Pereira, but the first time since getting a GoPro. I figured I may as well try to document what my typical trip to Colombia looks like. If interested, I have pictures from the older trips at http://www.iamlubos.com/travel/. I travel to visit my in-laws so my experience is likely quite different from the typical tourist visit to beaches or museums. But we still get to explore this amazing country and eat some great food. On this trip, I flew to Bogota where I was supposed to meet my wife and the rest of my inlaws flying in from Medellin, where they went for sightseeing (for many of them, the first in 30 years). I paid for Avianca XL seat as it was almost the same price as economy, expecting to get the large sofa of United domestic business class. I was pleasantly surprised that it got me a proper lie down flat. This was nice, although the service itself was almost non-existent. We only got a box with a sandwich, crackers, and cookies, and a single tea served in a Styrofoam cup. Then in Bogota, Sandra told me their flight got delayed and will likely miss the connection to Pereira, where my in-laws know a family they are long time friends with. They invited us to celebrate New Years with them. I along with my wife, and my SIL and FIL stayed over at the friend's apartment, while my BIL and his wife and kids stayed at the family friend son's truly spectacular house. This is also where we celebrated NYE. The next day, we were supposed to go on a roadtrip to Filandia, but there was a mechanical issue with the van, so we just hit up a parilla restaurant outside the city. The following day, January 2nd, we went for a horseback ride. This was an amazing way to appreciate the beauty of this region. The following morning we quickly popped into a shopping mall (where I edited this video), before catching a flight to Bogota.
