World Sight Day – Dr. Sinead Kane

Agility in a time of change, 7pm Thursday 8 October

To mark World Sight Day on Thursday 8 October we invite you to join us at 7pm for a virtual talk with Dr. Sinead Kane.

Sinead is the epitome of someone who has overcome challenges and achieved success at an astounding level:

- a double PhD doctorate;
- Ireland's first vision impaired qualified lawyer;
- a double Guinness World Record holder - furthest distance for a female on - a treadmill in 12 hours and the first blind person to complete a marathon on each of the seven continents (in 7 days!); and
- the first Irish female to compete in the World Marathon Challenge.

All of the above are incredible feats in their own right but when you consider Sinead only has 5% vision and is registered legally blind you realise this is a woman with a determination to live life to the fullest.

Given the times we are living in, Sinead will tell us her story and provide tips and guidance to help you feel motivated every day.
