Jeep XJ 4.6 Stroker Build

After 280k miles and wanting more power to make it up steep grades when loaded with camping gear and armor, it was time to build a 4.6 Stroker. I called Russ Potenger @ BishopBuehl Racing for a custom tailored kit including custom pistons, skat 4.2 crank, skat rods, ported/polished head, ported intake manifold, comp cam, LS valves, and all bearings, seals, gaskets, rocker arms, pushrods, etc. It would be my first time attempting an engine build so I enlisted the help of my friend Mark to guide me along.

If you've built a Jeep Stroker, how did it go? Let me know if you had any surprises like I did with faulty wiring.
