'Prince Philip Immortalised in Tribute by Poet Laureate Simon Armitage'

The UK poet laureate, Simon Armitage, has penned a tribute to the late-Duke of Edinburgh entitled 'The Patriarchs - An Elergy'.

The poem, which reflects on Prince Philip's life and work, was published to coincide with his funeral on Saturday.

The Duke of Edinburgh died on 9 April, 2021 with a funeral service at St George's Chapel in Windsor.
