No Customer Tips At Vons & Michaels

Hello fellow and future delivery & rideshare drivers,


I noticed that I wasn’t getting tipped on grocery delivery orders from Vons and delivery orders from Michaels. The pay seemed decent up front but when I looked into the delivery later, I could see that the pay was all from Doordash and no customer tip. Why is that? Check out this video and watch as I realize there’s more to the story. You’re getting paid for your mileage, which is ok, but you can make more on orders where customers tip. Your time is valuable and so is your vehicle. Be warned.

Incidentally, Doordash was sending out Von's orders that had already been completed from previous days. The only way I could figure out how to stop it was to cancel the order. I will contact Doordash and ask them to remove those canceled orders from my cancellation rate as this does affect our ability to remain on the platform.
