Christmas High Tea in Shangri-La, Lobby Lounge ✨ [REVIEW]

It's time for some festive sugar rush! Join me in trying out the Festive High Tea menu in Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur for this Christmas. I really thought it was a decent experience, the ambience was nice and so was the spring view. Here are some of my thoughts on the menu:

SAVOURY
Five Spiced Duck, Foie Gras Parfait and Onion Jam with Brioche
---Didn't really like this, the texture was chunky and not smooth, plus not much zing flavour

Lobster Salad in Saffron Roll with Caviar Cream
---Lobster tasted fresh, couldn't taste the saffron at all. The caviar was a nice briny touch

Orange Beetroot and Crème Fraiche Tartlet
---For some reason I didn't see this, but had the Smoked Salmon Avocado which was really fresh and tasty

SWEET DELIGHTS
White Christmas Ball
---Love the cinnamon taste and the cream textures inside, really festive

White Forest Chocolate
---Enjoyed this, the white chocolate and milk chocolate really complemented each other and the filling was rich and creamy

Mixed Fruit Financier
---Didn't like this, felt like a normal fruitcake slice

Milk Chocolate Passion Fruit Yule Log
---This was way too sweet, especially with the passion fruit

Chestnut Mont Blanc
---Very pasty and slightly powdery pastry. Not much flavours going on
SCONES
Plain
Currant and Candied Orange Scones
---I like the plain ones more, the candied orange ones were too sweet for my tastes. The scones overall are very buttery, rich and flaky. Delicious

Served with Raspberry Jam, Lemon Curd, Clotted Cream

Overall: 3/5 stars from me. Was hoping for more variety but the ambience made up for it.
