LAY HO MA! This quick recipe is definitely going to be a crowd pleaser. Join me in this episode and learn how to make a delicious fried rice inspired recipe made with orzo! Let's begin
Ingredients:
3 pieces garlic
1/2 red onion
1 small carrot
2 sticks green onion
90g broccolini
150g extra firm tofu
1/4lb orzo
2 tbsp chili oil (https://youtu.be/IkBWsfsEVkM)
1/2 tbsp + 1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp + 1 tsp soy sauce
splash of toasted sesame oil
drizzle of avocado oil
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1/4 cup corn
1/4 cup edamame
Directions:
1. Bring a pot of water to boil for the pasta
2. Finely chop the garlic, red onion, carrot, green onions, and broccolini
3. Mash the extra firm tofu with a fork
4. Boil the orzo to package instructions. When it's done, strain it out and set aside
5. Heat up a nonstick pan to medium heat. Add the chili oil followed by the tofu crumble. Sauté for 3-4min
6. Add 1 tsp of dark soy sauce, 1 tsp soy sauce, and a splash of toasted sesame oil. Sauté for another couple of minutes, then set the tofu crumble aside
7. Heat the pan back to medium heat and add a drizzle of avocado oil. Add the garlic, red onions, and green onion. Sauté for a couple of minutes
8. Add the broccolini and carrots. Sauté for a couple of minutes. Then, add the orzo followed by 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce, and the hoisin sauce. Sauté for about a minute
9. Add the corn, edamame, and the tofu crumble. Sauté for another couple of minutes
