Timelapse of a Shed Demolition
In today's video, we are demolishing and removing an old shed from a customer located in the Scranton, PA area.
This shed was completely rotted out on the bottom, and had animals burrowing underneath it.
Due to the close proximity of a fence behind the shed, as well as the height of the shed, we decided to use a truck and chains to help tear it down. This allowed for us to make sure the shed and roof structure fell in the location we wanted it to.
The first thing we did to demolish this shed was to cut all the side wood and 2x4s that support the shed, except for the rear section. This allowed the shed to be weaker on the front, causing it to fall that way.
Next, we used a truck with a chain tied around the center beam of the roof to pull the shed apart. This is much safer & controlled than trying to drop the shed completely by-hand. The reason is because with this method, employees are not cutting down a shed that can easily fall on them and hurt them.
It didn't rain for 3 days before this job, and we walked the lawn to ensure we wouldn't get stuck in the grass. Unfortunately, we were dead-wrong and got our dump truck stuck.
With that said, we arrived on-site at 9:30am and by 1:30pm, the shed was gone, hole filled with topsoil, and ruts in the yard fixed.
No other junk removal service can provide that level and quality of service in addition to timely completion.
