Ariana & Evans Asian Pear Ultima-2 | Product Review

In today’s SOTD, I had the incredible opportunity to use a soap set I was fortunate enough to win during The Razor Company’s Christmas Instagram Live — and this one did NOT disappoint.

For this shave, I went with Ariana & Evans Asian Pear in the Ultima-2 base — a truly standout scent and performance. Right off the top, you get a bright burst of bergamot that transitions beautifully into a realistic, juicy pear note that takes center stage. As the shave continues, dried fruits bring warmth and depth, while tonka bean, tobacco, and sandalwood create a smooth, rich backbone. Subtle hints of coffee and soft florals round everything out, with cedarwood finishing it off for a refined and sophisticated experience.

To build the lather, I paired it with my Alpha synthetic brush, which whipped up an incredibly rich and slick lather with ease. For the razor, I reached for the ultra-efficient stainless steel razor from The Razor Company — perfect for taking down a few days of growth.

Even with a small nick during the shave, the overall experience was outstanding from start to finish. The performance of both the software and hardware really stood out, making this a shave to remember.
