old truck, new tricks! stereo install on 1st gen toyota tacoma

Back to the Future: Replacing the 20 year old stereo with something a bit more current in the taco. Plus an overview on how I run my communication radios (CB & GMRS).

The GMRS and CB radios are not permanently mounted because I prefer the ability to swap the radio easily and without leaving anything behind in the truck (mounts, holes, etc). And in my opinion the 1st gen tacos don't have a good dash for leaving a radio permanently - expect for squished between the seat and center console. Long term I plan on mounting the GMRS somewhere hidden and extending the cables from it - another benefit of this radio over my old CB.
