South Goa Faces Major Water Crisis: Residents Left Without Clean Water for Days

Several areas in South Goa, including Margao, Comba, Calconda, Benaulim, Pedda, Fatorda, Nuvem, and Curtorim, are reeling under a severe water crisis, leaving hundreds of families without access to clean drinking water. According to local residents, tap water supply has been completely disrupted since Tuesday morning, with no official communication or alternative arrangements made by the concerned authorities. To make matters worse, residents claim that well water in these areas has been contaminated, increasing their reliance on tap water. Women from the affected areas voiced their frustration, stating that despite repeated complaints, no tankers or emergency supply measures have been initiated by the Public Works Department or local administration.
