Is this about what I think it is? Pantera - Cemetery Gates Reaction!

Metal Returns! Tonight I am listening to Pantera for the very first time! Their song Cemetery Gates has such a catchy riff, I love it!

Is this song about child abuse? I’m thinking this because of the ‘you took my youth’ line. This is usually used with people who have suffered from childhood events, so I’m thinking there was some element of abuse there.

It sounds like he’s talking to a female and he is saying now that she is dead, he can reverse his life and want to let her know he is just going to walk straight passed those cemetery gates, he isn’t going to see her.

Great solo, lots of variety in there too and I liked that it wasn’t over the top, it was just a cool, confident guitar solo.

I can’t get the riff out of my head! Let me know what you think of the song!
