Sweep Picking Tutorial – The “Missing Link” To Sweep Picking Mastery

Everybody wants to sweep pick fast. But playing fast is only one element of sweep picking mastery.

The “missing link” few people practice is: sweep picking cleanly without sloppy string noise.

There are 3 causes of sloppy sweep picking:

- Notes bleeding together when you play arpeggios (this one sounds awful!).

- Open strings vibrating, creating sloppy noise.

- Excess rotation of your pick as you change from ascending to descending sweep picking. (The more your wrist moves, the greater the chance of sloppy noise.)
