Pope Leo XIV began his third foreign trip on April 13, visiting four African countries: Algeria, Cameroon, Angola and Equatorial Guinea. The Pope called attention to the separatist insurgency in western Cameroon that has claimed thousands of lives and displaced over half a million people. After Cameroon, his next stop will be Angola, where about 58% of population is Catholic.
