The LA Clippers are currently the biggest laughing stock in the NBA and arguably the biggest disappointment of the last decade after falling short of an NBA championship in embarrassing fashion, blowing a 3-1 lead against the Denver Nuggets in the second round. Now, the hope and aspirations fans had for this team is gone and many have huge doubts about this team’s ability to compete for a championship properly yet again. Many are calling for the trade of all-star Paul George and overall, a lot of people are counting them out, especially after the blindsiding move from Montrezl Harrell. However, I wouldn’t be doing that if I were you. In my opinion, the LA Clippers are still a very real threat to win the championship in 2021 and whilst I definitely wouldn’t call them favourites, it would be ridiculous to leave them out of the conversation. I’ll be going over why you shouldn’t sleep on the Clippers next season, even after such a disappointing end.
