What Indonesia’s New Capital Will Look Like

To ease congestion and minimise over-reliance on Jakarta, President Joko Widodo announced plans to move Indonesia’s political capital from Jakarta to East Kalimantan. The modern-looking city would cost US$33 billion to build and is expected to bring new change and development to the region, which is mostly undeveloped, with large parts still covered by thick jungle. However, there are worries that the indigenous people will be left behind. Insight finds out more.
