QueryLens is a full-stack database administration tool designed to replace raw CLI workflows with a fast, visual, and intelligent GUI — without sacrificing the power of direct SQL access.

Overview
Most database tools force a tradeoff: either you get a friendly UI with limited capability, or full power through a CLI with a steep learning curve. QueryLens closes that gap. It auto-discovers installed database engines on your machine, connects with minimal manual input, and gives you complete control — schema editing, relationship mapping, indexing, backups, and a full SQL console — all from the browser.

It is built as a real production system, not a prototype: structured error handling, connection health monitoring with auto-reconnect, resilient state management, and graceful degradation when things go wrong.

Core Capabilities
Smart Connection Flow Auto-detects installed database engines (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, SQLite), discovers existing databases inside each engine, and pre-fills connection details — leaving only a password (if required) for the user to enter. Successful connections persist and automatically restore after a server restart.

Database & Table Management Create, rename, duplicate, and delete tables with full constraint support (primary keys, foreign keys, unique, not null, defaults). Edit table structure after creation — add, rename, or drop columns, or change data types — directly from the UI.

Data Operations Browse, filter, sort, and search any table. Add, edit, and delete rows individually or in bulk. Import data from CSV/JSON with live progress tracking, or export any table as CSV, JSON, or SQL.

Schema & Relationships A visual schema viewer shows every table's structure at a glance. A relationship diagram renders foreign key connections between tables with the ability to add or remove constraints directly from the UI.

Indexes View, create, and delete indexes per table, with engine-specific handling for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQLite.

Backups Create full database backups on demand, restore from a previous backup or uploaded file, and maintain a complete backup history — all driven through native tooling (pg_dump, mysqldump, file-level snapshots) under the hood.

SQL Console A purpose-built query editor with line numbers, syntax-aware autocomplete for tables and columns, smart query templates, multi-statement execution, query history, and saved queries — all without relying on third-party editor libraries.

Cross-Table Search Search a value across every table in the connected database in a single action, with results grouped by table.

Production-Grade Resilience Connection health is monitored continuously with automatic reconnection. Every backend route returns structured error responses instead of crashing. The frontend uses error boundaries, skeleton loading states, and reactive state sync to ensure the UI never gets stuck or requires a hard refresh.
