Top Secret SR-71 Blackbird pilot Brian Shul - May 5, 2018 - Anchorage, Alaska (4K in Chrome browser)

Retired United States Air Force Major Brian Shul was the featured speaker at the 2018 Great Alaska Aviation Gathering in Anchorage, AK. He was a pilot of the formerly Top Secret SR-71 Blackbird aircraft. The title of his speech was: "The Speed of Life: Perseverance and Triumph Over Tragedy."
This is a copy of the text from the aviation gathering's website:
"A highly motivating, humorous, and fascinating talk that covers some of Mr. Shul's experiences from lying near death on a jungle floor in Vietnam, to flying the world's fastest jet, the SR-71. He also talks about his present day photography and the books he has authored. Coupled with Mr. Shul's breathtaking slides taken in flight, and his philosophical views on life, this is an unforgettable presentation for all in attendance.

Brian Shul is a Vietnam War-era attack pilot and a retired major in the United States Air Force (USAF). He flew 212 combat missions and was shot down near the end of the war. He was so badly burned that he was given next to no chance to live. Surviving, he returned to full flight status, flying the SR-71 Blackbird. Major Shul completed a 20-year career in the Air Force. He has written four books on aviation and runs a photo studio in California."
