South Koreans hit the slopes as ski resorts reopen amid Omicron concerns

Ski slopes in South Korea's northern Gangwon province are starting to come back to life despite the COVID-19 pandemic. In December 2021, the government had ordered the closures of all ski resorts and tourist attractions due to a rise in coronavirus infections. Government regulations stipulate that everyone entering the ski resort must get their temperatures checked. Night skiing is not allowed at all premises, and slopes and restaurants have to close by 9pm.
