Day 6 of finding beautiful places in Colorado: Chasm lake

Chasm Lake trail is such a fantastic hike. It’s right inside Rocky mountain National Park and it takes you up about 4.5 miles to the lake. It’s over 2,000 feet of elevation gain and is not for the faint of heart. However all the up hill is definitely worth the views and the majestic alpine lakes.

You usually have till around June if you want to see the lake frozen over and if you can make it over there before then I’d definitely recommend it. It’s such a cool experience.

I’m very excited to see what this hike looks like in the summer.
