John Day River Oregon Once in a lifetime Big Horn Sheep hunt 2020

Our buddy Calder had the luck of the draw as a non-resident for the 2020 Big Horn Sheep in Oregon.

7 days and over 47 miles on the river, this once in a life time hunt was a true adventure for us all. Calder's preparation included endless hours of research, e-scouting and networking with local river guides and ODF&W Biologist to locate the areas in which these animals live.

Calder pre-made the dinners for the crew with his dehydrator which sure beat the hell out of the Mountain House Meals! Calder and his beautiful wife Amy purchased their own raft and outfitted it for the journey. Rob rented a raft in Jackson Hole and picked it up on his drive over from Cody.

The rest of the group comprised of Calder's father and lifelong hunting partner, Sprague, who was blessed to be with his son for a harvest of a life time. Ben, Steve and I, coming together from all over the PNW to help Calder locate and harvest his Ram.

A very special "Thank You" to our family and friends. We love you and truly appreciate your sacrifices at home that allowed us to have accomplished this once in a life time hunt.
