Disability is Not Inability: The Story of Fadumo Bihi | Fadumo Bihi | TEDxHargeisa

Fadumo was a child land-mine victim during the Somali Civil War. In 1996 she attended an international conference on mine elimination in Switzerland and when asked by the UN panel what she would like she asked for a school. A school was built in the area where she was injured and it was named after her. Today, Fadumo is a mother, a university graduate, a fulltime employee and a motivational speaker. She believes that disability in never bodily, disability is a state of mind, she says, which is something that can be conquered. In this video she tells us her story.
