This video focuses on Part 1- Sizing of centrifugal compressors

Starting with brief introduction of centrifugal compressors, the video goes on list the user industries and application ranges of centrifugal compressors.

A compressor is not considered in isolation. It is identified with a system. So the understanding of the compressor and the connected system is important before you begin to size the compressor. Two industrial examples are selected to highlight the compressor and connected system and key the parameters required to size the compressors are discussed.

Finally the video demonstrates the steps followed to determine the parameter required to size the compressor. At the end the important centrifugal characteristics are presented.
