A1 Hydraulics Leicester Testing/Cutting the Gears in on Triple Commercial Gear Pump on our test rig

After rebuilding/resealing a cast iron type gear pump, we raise the pressure then back it off then raise it higher than before and back it off This is done in around 5 or 6 steps upto the maximum working pressure of the pump. The gears cut into the cast iron body when both parts have been replaced. This process helps to stop the metal particles entering the machine it's fitted to.
