Stainless Steel vs. Cast Iron Omlette

They both work!

I know the stainless steel cooked a little darker but genuinely it’s from my deciding to flip the cast iron first, I do think you can achieve a more even cook on it. I also think my temperature is a touch high.

If I had to choose I think cast iron is easy to start with. It took me a lot of trials to learn how to season and use my stainless steel properly, so cast iron is probably more approachable for this. BUT you also need your cast iron to be well maintained and seasoned for this to work.

I’m so excited that both these pans worked with cooking the veggies in it beforehand. The key here was added extra oil before adding the eggs and letting it get to temperature before adding the egg.

Now just to learn how to better flip with this metal spatula and perfect the cook on these!

Overall, pretty happy with a first attempt in both these pans.
