Earth day cookies colored with flowers and leaves(no artificial dye!)

Earth Day needs some special! I adapted my matcha ube sugar cookies into these naturally colored blue and green sugar cookies!

🔵 Blue = butterfly pea flower powder
🟢 Green = moringa powder (it also works great with matcha!)

Here's the best part: moringa has a sweet, earthy flavor that bakes up just like matcha. And the butterfly pea flower? Basically flavor-neutral, so you get that gorgeous blue color without changing the taste at all. These just taste like a really good sugar cookie. 🍪

▢ 355 g all-purpose flour, (2 ¾ cup)
▢ ½ teaspoon baking soda
▢ ½ teaspoon kosher salt
▢ 227 g unsalted butter, (1 cup) softened, room temp
▢ 350 g granulated sugar, (1 ¾ cup)
▢ 1 large egg, room temp
▢ 1 large egg yolk, room temp
▢ 7 g butterfly pea flower powder, (2 teaspoons)
▢ 7 g moringa powder (2 teaspoons)
▢ granulated sugar, as needed for rolling
