250 in 60: Treaty of Paris - Tyler Dobbs

In 1783, the United States and Great Britain signed the Treaty of Paris, but the war wasn’t officially over yet. Though the fighting had finished, Congress still had to ratify the treaty to make independence official.

On January 14, 1784, 23 members of Congress gathered in Annapolis, Maryland, ratified the treaty, and formally ended the Revolutionary War.
