Japanese Inspired Snacks In Washington DC || Eat Seeker: Spoken English
Tucked away, next to the kitchen for The Line Hotel, Chef Erik Bruner-Yang’s latest DC restaurant dishes up fresh takes on Japanese skewers, small plates, and family-style dishes. Inspired by the concept of the Japanese Tachinomiya, neighborhood standing pubs, diners stand in the open kitchen at two communal tables and are encouraged to share and mingle with one another. The menu is comprised of lots of small bites, like a variety of kushiyaki options or the eight-piece chicken yakitori. Larger offerings, like their whole roasted duck served with fresh-made tortillas, which ideal as a conversation starter.
