Welcome to Episode 2 of Get Away: Hawaii Part 2.

What started as a normal day on the Big Island turned into something we’ll probably never forget. During our trip, we got incredibly lucky and were actually on the island while an ACTIVE volcano was erupting. Standing there watching lava explode into the sky felt surreal, humbling, and honestly a little terrifying in the best possible way.

While waiting for the eruption activity to intensify, we headed off on a side adventure to visit the famous Green Sand Beach to see if it was actually worth the hype. (Spoiler: Hawaii continues to feel like another planet.)
