Welcome slot car race fans to Monster Hobbies 1/32 scale Carrera Digital Slot Car League - 1957-1960 NASCAR Daytona 500 - Race #2

The 1960 Daytona 500 was a NASCAR Grand National Series stock car race that was held on February 14, 1960, at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, United States.

This is our second qualifier night here at the Daytona oval and we have quite the turn out!

Our race car stable consists of nine drivers driving in 1957 Chevrolet Bel Airs, a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 and 1960 Plymouth Furys. The drivers are as follows :

In the black 1960 Plymouth, we have Josh
I am driving Car 74 that was kit bashed from a Revell 1957 Ford and a Carrera 1960 Pymouth.
Alex is driving car 16, an off the shelf Bel Air
Fred is driving in car 45, "The Dukabor", a Bel Air that he repainted
Devon is driving two cars, a 1960 Red and Blue Plymouth and a 1957 Bel Air
Matt is driving car 43, Richard Petty 's 1960 Plymouth
Mark is driving the red, white and black 1960 Plymouth - he also has a green Bel Air
Kevan is also driving a Car 16, an off the shelf 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air

Fred was unavailable to race this night, so we were able to drive the oval with the maximum of 6 Carrera digital cars. that it the most the digital Control unit can handle at one time.

About our track :

The Carrera track I build for this video, which was filmed in 2016, consisted of the Carrera Digital 1/24th - 1/32nd Control Unit, Position Tower, two Pit Lanes as Carrera hadn't created the Multi-Lane Digital Track Extension piece, Wireless+ hand-held controllers, Extension Set pieces, Straights, and R3 and R4 high banked curves, Lane Change Right and Left Sections and the Double Lane Change unit.
