Trek Checkpoint Review! - ALR 4 - Best Gravel Bike Line?

I purchased my Trek Checkpoint ALR 4 last August after selling my Trek Domane. Up until the winter hit at the beginning of November I put over 1000 miles on the bike including 3 100+ mile rides and a race, the Gravel Pursuit 120.

*The thumbnail picture was taken by Salsa Cycle's "Chase the Chaise" campaign during JayP's Gravel Pursuit and given to the racers for free. Be sure to follow the next stop of the Chaise lounge and plan your next event at https://salsacycles.com/chasethechaise/ (Their Warbird is also an extremely solid Gravel race bike contender.) #chasethechaise

This gravel race bike is a solid performer with great tire clearance, outstanding handling and a quality frame and set of components. Even with the lowest ALR version I have been completely satisfied and have had no qualms with taking this bike on epic gravel adventures.

I am running an Ergon SME3 Pro saddle, Panaracer Gravel King SK 43mm tires, and double wrapped bars with purple Lizard Skinz DSP 2.5mm bar tape on top.

My three biggest rides were
-A solo 145.5 mile Adventure ride with about 50/50 gravel to pavement ( just for fun)
-The 120 mile Jay P's Gravel Pursuit race - Nearly all gravel.
-And a 107 mile ride through the bike path's of Grand Teton National Park (nearly all paved)
