Like a Skatepark for Skimboarding: Small waves are Perfect for Skate Style Tricks on a Skimboard

Small waves make for skatepark like conditions for skimboarding. When the waves are often times too small to surf, I tend to have a lot more fun on my skimboard. You are not relying on the power of the wave for speed like you are in surfing, when skimboarding you can generate your own speed based on how fast you are able to run. This allows you to use the small waves as ramps like you would on a skateboard. Skylar Wilson, Sam Stinnett, and Blair Conklin skim a miniature wedge in South Laguna. Summer is finally here and we look forward to the good beach days ahead. We hope this video gets you stoked to get outdoors and enjoy some sand sliding at your favorite beach!
