Flying from Dubrovnik to Athens Travel Vlog

Join us as we fly from Dubrovnik to Athens in this travel vlog. We kick things off with an apartment tour of our airbnb apartment in Dubrovnik which ended up being the cheapest apartment we rented together on this trip split between the five of us:

Dubrovnik Apartment: https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/12785349
Discount Code: https://www.airbnb.ca/c/abergner9?s=8

Our trip to Athens was anything but direct. Prior to research we had just assumed we could find a direct flight from Dubrovnik to Athens but what ended up being our most efficient connection was via Istanbul with Turkish airlines. We ended up flying first from Dubrovnik to Istanbul with Turkish Airlines (with our flight being delayed) and then rushing to catch our next flight from Istanbul to Athens.

Overall, it was a really long travel day and we didn't get in until the wee hours of the morning after taking a bus into the city followed by a short cab ride.

Flying from Dubrovnik to Athens travel vlog Video Transcript:

Well guys it is time to say goodbye to Dubrovnik and these amazing views. Bub-bye Dubrovnik. So yeah we thought we'd start the apartment tour for this travel vlog from the balcony yeah because of course this was definitely the best part. Tada. Of the stay. Minus not so much those vines whatever is going on there.

Also minus the 481 steps to climb up here. Yeah that is insane. Aside from that great. But show how big the balcony is like if you turn around. It is a long balcony. It is massive. So we have three bedrooms all along here. Yep. Actually 2 bedrooms and a living area. Yep. And everyone has access to the balcony. Everyone has access. So we are starting here. Let's go into the living room.

Yeah, so we're going to do a quick apartment tour before we head off to the airport. And this place was probably the best bargain for this entire trip. It was only $78 USD a night. Mmmhmm. Split between 5 people. Yeah. So incredible value but at the same time it this place definitely is stuck in the 20th century.

Like if you take a look at the carpet, the couches. I mean everything is comfortable and clean but my goodness I wouldn't I don't know I can't even imagine the date of some of these furniture. It is cute. It is retro. It is cute.

It is very retro. Um we had a nice drying rack which we used. We were like drying our clothes out on the balcony and it was wonderful. We were having wine out on the balcony. So the balcony was the coolest part. But um yeah let's continue on and um so I'll show you the kitchen first. The kitchen area.

The kitchen was pretty small. We did a little bit of cooking here. Not too much. I think we made like what grilled cheeses and paninis basically. Pastas. Pastas. Salads.

Oh yeah. I thought it was a pretty spacious kitchen. Yeah. Yeah.

I mean we've got a big table. You can fit six people here. The table was massive. Um again what was really cool is that we had two bathrooms. Yes. I'll show you both of them quickly.

Come into here. Um yeah washing machine, we had a nice shower. Big shower. Amazing water pressure and tonnes of hot water. So A+ for the shower here.

Yeah. It was just awesome. Back in the living area. It was so good. And then the other bathroom which is basically the same. Ha.

They are identical. They almost look like carbon copies except this one doesn't have a washing machine. The washing machine.

And we had twin beds. We had uh a wardrobe we didn't use. Yeah. Um we haven't really been unpacking for the shorter stays. No because in Croatia these have been the shortest stays of our entire trip. Like we had just 3 to 4 days. We only had 3 nights here. That is crazy.

And we are saying goodbye to Croatia and hello to Greece. Yes. So um what we didn't realize though is that there were no direct flights. From Dubrovnik to Athens.
