I Vow To Thee My Country-Remembrance

A salute to all who have in their generation served and sacrificed for their Sovereign and Country. This moving hymn written by Sir Cecil Spring-Rice in 1918 and given the tune 'Thaxted' (a theme from 'Jupiter' in 'The Planets' by Gustav Holst) has become an established tradition at times of Remembrance of The Fallen. It is sung so beautifully here by the boys voices of 'Libera' amid the images of Canadian recipients of the Victoria Cross followed by the visions of that 'other Country we heard of long ago'.
