This is a Liqui Moly Diesel Purge (Lubro Moly) done on my Mercedes-Benz T1 [ Transporter ] - 602 - 309D - 3l - 5 cylinder engine: OM 617.913.

In these videos I've shown in quite good detail how to perform a diesel purge on a Mercedes T1. Even though the problems on my vehicle were not cured with the purge, don't let this deter you trying yourself because this does help a lot of people get their vehicle running better.

More Info: My Mercedes is a 1984 Arnold motorhome built onto the 602 309D flatbed.

There was smoke coming out of my exhaust so I disconnected the fuel inlet and used up the diesel that was left in the pump and filter. I had fitted a new fuel filter and pre-filter as you should do with a purge - old filters have muck in them.

I connected tubing to the fuel inlet and outlet and put these into the can of Liqui Moly. I then ran it for 25 to 30 minutes using 2 cans, during this time the exhaust stopped smoking. This showed me that the engine isn't burning oil and that the diesel purge had cleaned up the injectors and had stopped the smoking.

After I had finished and run it off the diesel again at first there was still no smoke but after 10 minutes it started to smoke a little again.

After a couple of hours and with the engine cooled down, I started it again and it was smoky like before. It looks as though I need to adjust the tappets and probably fit either new injector nozzles or complete new injectors.

Any help fromanyone on this would be great..
