Let's talk about the absolute myth of Nioh 2's base difficulty, the "victory lap" that was its original NG+, and why Nioh 3 dropping the Four Heavenly Kings and Jakotsu Baba on you in Region 1 proves it is operating on a much higher, punishing baseline.
