Pat Benatar's classic anthem, "Love Is A Battlefield" is a song with undeniable power and strength. It was an anthem for women who turned this song into a battle cry. It helped that the video that was made for this song (directed by Bob Giraldi) landed in heavy rotation on VH1 and MTV. It was written by Holly Knight and Mike Chapman and recorded by Pat Benatar in 1983 and topped Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for four weeks, peaking at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 1984, the song won Benatar her fourth consecutive Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. I love this song and it's one of my all-time favorites. All I can say is that she still got it!
