Black Ops 3 Zombies - Possible Connection to BO2 Asteroid Easter Egg in Black Ops 3?

A New Black Ops 3 Teaser hinted at the possibility of a destructive asteroid. Could the Black Ops 2 Zombies main menu easter egg be a silent nod to this endeavor? What do you guys think? Is there going to be an asteroid at all in the Black Ops 3 campaign? Will it be in Black Ops 3 Zombies at all? Or maybe it just turns out to be nothing entirely... Call of Duty & Treyarch sure are teasing us.
