Corky, Ikaika, Keet, and Makani at Orca Underwater Viewing - SeaWorld San Diego - January 3, 2024

NOTE: There is prominent sexual behavior between the 1 female and 3 male orcas in this video. Viewer discretion is advised.

Four of the orcas were very active and sexual with each other one rainy morning at SeaWorld San Diego! Most of this video shows a lot of precursors to sexual behavior such as love bites and nosing the genital areas but you will eventually see it progress even further. Most of it was between males Keet and Makani plus Ikaika joining them though Corky and Ikaika paired up as well. Scroll below for highlights:

- 4:32 Makani swims after Keet fully erect, the only instance of this in the video. It was interesting how they were swimming alongside Corky and Ikaika as well
- 5:28 Makani vocalizes audibly close to the glass
- 6:43 Corky takes a moment after floating next to Ikaika to come down and look at guests

I haven't gotten a video like this in almost 10 years so it was neat to see this side of them that people may not usually see. This type of behavior is pretty typical amongst whales and dolphins both in the wild and in human care.
