This Talk about Hair, Health, and Hope is a journey for advocacy, self awareness, and a challenge to all society to take life as a personal responsibility. HairDocTk is self educated with various certificates in cosmetology and health where at the age of 30 her only choice while battling Renal Cell Carcinoma leading into breast implant illness also losing a kidney was to read everything! She learned enough to save her own life. The magical adventure from a very conservative Pennsylvania Amish up-bringing, graduating High School "Most likely to Succeed" being named Miss Ready and Fair to Hollywood stunt and stage life is sharing the story of the hero. To this day she has started a non-profit charity (referenced at the end)and a petition to change the law to require certification and maintain regulation on licenses given to hair professionals. This true story about the actions necessary to enact personal advocacy, Tammy Kelichner was able to complete exhaustive research into alternative methods to revitalize and re grow her hair and a complete re-balance of her immune system. Her research did find that the onset of injuries and disease was greatly detracted from mental/emotional happiness or strain. As her health deteriorated the body accelerated breaking down it caused malfunctions and illness. Disease “dis ease” in the entire body came next. A culmination from 30 years of experience as a licensed hair restoration and master hair Extensionist, Hairdoc TK's work with her clients is directed as therapeutic, natural, which in practice is effective. (TK) has two mottos – Regrow, Renew, Retrain and Recreating Lives One Strand At a Time. Trichotillomania (OCD Disorders) and thinning hair due to Autoimmune Disease are a real problem today. HairDocTK helps people become whole from the inside out with her diverse past knowledge and real life experiences. With the health challenges her way of healing was to give back by founding Superhairoes. She leads groups fir these listed disorders, helps cancer patients and provides hope in the strand scholarships for hair treatments for the cancer survivors. I personally understand the need to look and feel better on the outside while you are going through such a traumatic time of feeling like a mess on the inside. After losing my kidney to cancer I wanted to be able to give back to the community. This site is launched with an effort to help rescue others and battle hair loss in our community one strand at a time. Cancer being the number one terminal illness is not the only disease that causes hair loss issues. I encourage any and all sufferers to band together to battle these diseases.
