WORST SIGNINGS OF THE SEASON 2020/21 XI!

In this week's XI we are looking at a team of the worst signings made so far this transfer window. We start with Orestis Karnezis in goal, the veteran Greek stopper on his way to Lille, before looking at Branislav Ivanovic’s decision to return to Premier League at the ripe old age of 36. We also look at Allesandro Florenzi and Pablo Mari, who make up our defence.

In midfield we revisit Barcelona’s bizarre decision to swap Arthur Melo with Miralem Pjanic, along with Inter Milan’s pursuit of a 33 year old Arturo Vidal. On the wings we look at Oliver Burke’s move to Sheffield United, and Aston Villa’s latest acquisition of Bertrand Traore. Both have a point to prove following a difficult few years.

Finally we analyse whether it was a good idea for Lyon to make Karl Toko-Ekambi’s loan move from Villareal permanent, and wonder whether Atletico Madrid regret agreeing to sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea this summer.
